The Capacity Development Center for Africa (CDCA) is a development management training, research, and consultancy institution dedicated to strengthening human and institutional capacity across Africa. CDCA provides professional training programmes, applied research, and consultancy services that support sustainable development, good governance, and effective leadership.
CDCA’s programmes and services are designed for government officials, NGO and civil society practitioners, development professionals, researchers, private sector organizations, and individuals seeking professional development. Our offerings are suitable for both early-career and experienced professionals working in development-related fields.
CDCA offers short courses, workshops, seminars, and customized training programmes in areas such as development management, project planning and management, monitoring and evaluation, leadership and governance, policy analysis, organizational development, and research methods. Training can be delivered in-person, online, or in blended formats.
Our Training Programmes and projects are contextual, systemic and interventionist, rather than discipline related and the interventions range from personal development to group and institutional development. All our programmes are contemporary and are continuously evaluated and revised to deal with issues on a real time basis. Our core implementation strategy is that we emphasise on follow ups and continuous evaluation of all our interventions.
The training sessions are run for an average of five (5) hours of contact time, during which the expert facilitates the training, discussions and reviews conducted. The allocated time is stretched from morning to afternoon with several refreshing breaks; this framework also depends on the intensity of the course. Our Facilitators utilise a variety of proven adult learning techniques to ensure maximum understanding, comprehension and retention of the information presented. All our training services can be offered in any politically Stable society.
Almost All our trainings include an element, be it to a minimal extent, of contemporary uses and benefits of Information technology and all participants are availed the use of our IT facilities and take home gadgets where applicable. We have state of the art learning rooms and conference facilities in all our locations with close proximity to amenities, as an international service provider, we have a vast network of resources and facilities at our disposal through our own or our working partners in countries where we do not have a physical establishment.
Our in-house Training modules are either already developed programmes or tailor made for the client organisation but delivered upon request according to the clients’ needs. With bespoke courses, we emphasize the integration of the client organisation’s specific needs and our suggested solution, this allows us to have a higher chance of effectively and efficiently address the needs of our client.
